We are thrilled to share some exciting news with you! On Monday, we successfully shipped out all the rewards within the European Union. Your long-awaited packages are on their way to your doorstep, and we hope you'll soon be enjoying the fruits of our collective labor.

Today, we are equally pleased to announce that we have also dispatched the International (Extra EU) rewards using the reliable and expedited DHL Express services. This means that our backers from all corners of the globe can now anticipate the arrival of their well-deserved rewards.

Unfortunately, we were unable to ship 100% of the rewards as planned. Some of the hardcover copies suffered damage in transit (from Factory to our Storage), and we want to ensure that every book reaches you in perfect, collectible condition. To make this right, we are working tirelessly to secure replacement copies, and we genuinely appreciate your understanding and patience.

To the few backers who may experience a slight delay in receiving their copies, we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused.

Your Unboxing Story: A Short Film in the Making!

We have a fantastic idea we'd love to share with all of you.

As you start receiving your packages, we thought it would be a wonderful experience to capture the unboxing moments on video! We invite each one of you to take a short video while unboxing your package and share the excitement of discovering the contents inside.

Recording your unboxing video is simple. Just set up your camera or smartphone, open your package with enthusiasm, and let the camera capture the joy as you unveil the treasures within.

Once you have your video ready, please share it with us through our socials (an Instagram or Facebook stories works as well) or feel free to send it at [email protected]. We'll collect all the videos and combine them to create a fantastic short documentary.

This documentary will showcase the unboxing experiences of our incredible backers, like you, and will be a great way to celebrate the success of this campaign. We plan to feature it during our upcoming crowdfunding campaign for the next volume, which is set to launch in Fall. Your unboxing videos will not only inspire others to join our community but will also be a heartwarming testament to the passion and support that fuels our project.

What if I told you there's an exciting new free short story waiting for all of you? 

Remember the promise we made during the Kickstarter campaign? If we reached 40K, we pledged to create an additional story, both written and illustrated. Well, I'm thrilled to announce that we've reached that milestone, and the extra story is well underway. Introducing "...And justice for all" a captivating tale packed into a mere 13 pages. It encompasses everything I love incorporating into my narratives: towering cyborgs, pulse-pounding hacker cyber-duels, and captivating poolside beauties. Some may argue that it lacks coherence, and they wouldn't be entirely wrong. However, Stefano's incredible art style, as always, will infuse coherence into my imaginative visions once again. As a token of our appreciation, in late summer, we will be gifting these crazy short work to all our backers. Here's a sneak peek of the final page (and the previous 12 pages are better!) 

Exciting news about the hardcover editions! 

For those who have upgraded to the hardcover edition, we have fantastic news—the edition looks absolutely stunning. The soft-touch finish and ultra-strong cover lend prestige to the volume, making it a perfect addition to your beloved library, right alongside the hardcover editions from your favorite renowned publishers!

USA Customers!!! Important shipping information for backers with US military base addresses. 

We recently received information from DHL that due to privacy reasons, international shipments cannot be delivered to US military bases. If you are among those backers, please provide us with an alternative "civilian" address, such as that of a relative or friend, where we can send your rewards. Write us a PM or at [email protected]

...And now, the moment you've all been eagerly awaiting! 

We've prepared an outline schedule that we will strive to adhere to as closely as possible:

• July 10th to 16th: Shipping within Italy.
• July 17th to 23rd: EU shipments.
• July 24th to 30th: Non-EU shipments (USA, Canada, Australia, UK, etc.). 

On July 25th, we will send all backers the download links for the digital versions in various formats. Thanks again digital-backers for your patience!

If we manage to prepare all the packages ahead of schedule, we will make every effort to expedite the shipments even further. We're currently swamped with packages and boxes, but our aim is to get ENHANCED to you as soon as possible. My personal wish is to see Volume 1 released worldwide by the end of this month. That's my dream, Cyberlovers! Then we have some cool ideas about your unboxing..but I will explain better my proposal in the next update!

Your Long-Awaited Update Has Arrived!🔥🔥🔥 ENHANCED is Becoming a Reality!

Dears Backers,

This update is going to be very important and filled with photos...lots of photos!

There's no better way to share our current emotions with you! Skillpress has sent the first batch of books, and the result is even better than our (high) expectations. The holographic UV covers, the paper quality, the colors—what can we say? ENHANCED has finally become a reality, and it has done so in the best possible way.

Now, we know you're eager to receive your copy, so let's address that question.

The first shipments will be sent to backers in Italy and the European Community. This is because they are fewer in number, and DHL has already generated labels with tracking information for these packages. While they are still processing the over 800 international shipments, we expect to have all the labels ready soon. Once that's done, we kindly ask for your patience as we carefully prepare each package. Soon enough, ENHANCED will be ready to be enjoyed by backers in the USA, Canada, Japan, China, Australia, New Zealand, and every other country on Earth (we're still working on reaching other planets). We will keep you constantly updated on the detailed timelines.

In collaboration with DHL, we are working to ensure that you receive tracking information directly to the email address you used on Kickstarter. Rest assured, all shipments will be sent via air, and you can expect them to arrive within 48 to 72 hours. DHL will also receive your phone number.

The first backers to receive ENHANCED will be those who pre-ordered the softcover and variant editions. This is simply because printing the hardcover editions takes more time. However, we want to assure you that Skillpress is working around the clock to expedite the production of the hardcover editions and get them to you as soon as possible.

The Digital PDF will be delivered together with the International Shipments.

THE WAIT IS ALMOST OVER

Right now, I am facing one of the most challenging periods in my journey, but I couldn't be more grateful to have you to confide in.

ENHANCED is currently in the press, and I'm eagerly anticipating the arrival of the first print run, consisting of a whopping 1,600 copies, by the second week of June. We're leaving no stone unturned in our efforts to ensure everything is prepared well in advance. The packages, pins, stickers, bookmarks, postcards, and prints are either already here or on their way (although there was a slight hiccup with some special fine art packages which the couriers misplaced, but we've taken swift action by ordering replacements).

Simultaneously, I've embarked on the challenging task of preparing the data for the shipments. Let me tell you, it's no easy feat! The Backerkit dashboard, while highly functional, has been pushed to its limits due to the multitude of pledge combinations generated by our incredible Kickstarter campaign. It's a mind-boggling endeavor that would make even a quantum processor overheat! Rest assured, I'm being extremely meticulous to avoid any errors and ensure that each and every one of you receives the correct rewards. Additionally, thanks to the pre-order store, we've gathered a remarkable 1,117 backers, meaning there will be 1,117 shipments that will carry the magnificent ENHANCED to readers all around the world. The weight of responsibility I feel is truly immense!

COOL VIDEO ALERT!

We've received the prototype copies of our completed volume, and we're absolutely thrilled with how it turned out.

Vol.1 is a solid 320g/84 pages, and it looks amazing! Of course, as we said, the final version will have the Holo 3D Uv cover, that as usual is missed in the prototype copy. 

Can you believe it? It's a crazy print run for a self-publishing project like ours, and we're super proud of ourselves! We know it's taken a while, but we're new to this and we're doing our best to learn quickly. We want to make sure everything is done well, and the speed will come with time.

While we wait for the volumes to be printed, we're already preparing everything else, including invoices, customs documents, labels, and add-ons. We want to ship out the books as soon as possible so that we can start working on volume 2 - how exciting is that?!

PDF will be released at the same time of the physical book.

ABOUT SHIPPING

I'm delighted to share that we've almost finalized our shipping arrangements. For shipments outside the EU, we have selected the reliable services of DHL Express, and for intra-EU shipments, we've chosen the esteemed UPS. Both options provide detailed tracking, so you can keep a close eye on your precious package. As soon as the printer delivers the copies to us, and all the necessary elements are in place, we will promptly dispatch your copies to the addresses you provided.

FINALLY...

Once everything is successfully underway, I'm eagerly anticipating a well-deserved short vacation in Europe, which will be followed by my dedicated work on Volume 2. I truly cannot wait!

Dear Kickstarter backers,

We hope this update finds you well. We wanted to take a moment to apologize for the slight delay in printing and shipping your copy of ENHANCED Vol1.  As you know, thanks to your incredible support during our crowdfunding campaign, we were able to achieve some stretch goals that allowed us to include extra material in the book, such as additional chapters, more art book pages, and a holographic 3D cover. While these extras were an exciting addition to the project, they have also taken longer than expected to complete. 

Some HUGE SPOILERS? Check the Video ;-)

Compared to the initial 60 pages announced during the campaign, ENHANCED will now include an additional 24 pages, making it a total of 84 pages. The softcover version will be 7mm thick, while the hardcover version will be twice as thick. We hope you are as thrilled about this as we are!

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work diligently to get everything printed and shipped out to you. We expect to go to print in the next few days and plan to ship your orders by May 2023.

"How about the digital versions?"

Once again, we ask for your patience. There will be an official release date, and we don't like the idea of releasing the digital versions BEFORE the physical ones. We want ENHANCED to be an experience as well, so we will release all versions at the same time.

We also wanted to share some exciting news about the gadgets and add-ons that will be included in your shipment. Each backer will receive Andrea's bookmark, Andrea and Heather's sticker, and a fabulous thank you card. As per your request, we have arranged for a limited number of collectible prints of Mirka Andolfo's Variants. Each print is 24x34cm, made of heavy-weight paper, laminated with SoftTouch, and has a 3D holographic UV finish. We have only 5 prints left, priced at €19, so if you'd like to pre-order, please visit our store or send us a private message. Shipping is included if it can be incorporated into your original order. Please note that the frame is not included, and is only shown for the purpose of giving you an idea of the final result. (indeed the frame is mine and that is the copy I will hang at home!)
